i have COX Ultra High service. My 4 year old Cisco cable modem is slowly flaking out. Looking for new modem.. I am daily user some is VPN to company work.

Not sure of the differences between the Arris SB8200 and the Motorola HB8600 for getting Xfinity 1000Mbps internet service. Which would be better?

I purchased the Motorola MB8600 and was wondering if I made a good choice.
Currently I am running a Motorola SB6190 cable modem and a Asus RT-N66W/U and a Asus RT-AC66U.
I was using the RT-AC66U then when I tried to Upgrade it I bricked the router.
I managed to un-brick and am still using thhe RT-N66W/U
My goal is to have the perfect network running Tomato shibby with the absolute best router and modem were I don't have to keep buying new devices every 6 months.
I'm looking towered the future and plan on getting the 1GB-100GB internet connection and the fastest most reliable high speed wireless router.
What do you guy's think is a good combination?
