I am over 300 pounds what elliptical machine could I purchase

The Captiva Cardio-Core Elliptical Trainer would be an ideal choice for you. It has a variable stride that ranges from 18” to 28”, which should accommodate even the very tallest or shortest runners. It works out your core as well as cardio. Like most ellipticals, it's gentle on the knees, and this particular device can handle someone up to 400 lbs. It’s music friendly (iPod dock, built-in speakers), and has a 50% automatic incline so you can work multiple leg muscles.

The ProForm Hybrid Trainer Pro is also a very popular choice. It has a weight capacity of 350 lbs, a great variety of programs, transport wheels for easy mobility, and a 17" stride. A downside to both the ProForm Hybrid, and the Captiva Cardio Core model is that they are both pretty large and heavy machines.

The Body Flex Power 3 in 1 Trio (mentioned in your related items in your questions) would not a suitable option for you, since it can only handle a maximum capacity of 300lbs.

Which one is best Elliptical Trainer
Related: Elliptical Trainers | Submitted by anonymous 756 days ago
A:

There is no set best elliptical trainer because they all offer their own unique features. A very popular options is the ProForm Endurance 520 E. It's a fairly basic machine and therefore cheaper than most other models. It features a built-in heart rate monitor, a tablet holder, a water bottle holder, a 5" backlit display, and 18 levels of magnetic resistance, which is enough for pretty much any level of workout experience. It's also iFit compatible, but the iFit subscription (which would give you more customized workouts) costs extra.

How do you reset the counters (digital readout) on the E1000?

A:

Hi Marianne, try pressing the button, then release to select functions. Then continue to press, and hold for two seconds to reset all functions except distance to zero. Distance is cumulative from workout to workout so it does not reset to zero.

While the Bowlflex has 2 wheels, I see on the HIIT there is only 1 wheel.. Does it matter ? is 2 wheels better than 1 ?

Which is more reliable...a NordicTrack E 7.0 Z or a Schwinn 430? I'm trying to decide between those two.
Related: NordicTrack E 7.0 Z, Schwinn 430, Elliptical Trainers | Submitted by anonymous 833 days ago
A:

I guess it depends what you mean by reliability, as far as whether we are talking about durability, comfort, workout effectiveness, etc. They all have unique features, so it would be difficult to pinpoint that without more of a concentration in a specific area.

The NordicTrack E 7.0 Z has a max user weight of 300-pounds, a 15-pound inertia-enhanced flywheel that’s designed for a smooth, silent, and natural performance. It comes equipped with a 20-inch stride, a 5-inch backlit display, 20-workout programs, and is iFit compatible (iFit subscription costs extra). This definitely is an all around well-made machine that certainly competes in price. That being said it doesn’t bring a cooling fan, and does not provide a chest strap for accurate heart rate monitoring.

The Schwinn 430 on the other hand provides 22-programs, 6-positions to incline up to 10-degrees, and 3-speed cooling fan. It’s equipped with dual track two LCD window systems, and has 20 ECB (Eddy Current Brake) resistance, which can increase or decrease the intensity on the fly, and it also has a max user weight of 300-pounds. It also works with it's own subscription program that mirrors iFit, Schwinn Connect.

I’d say if you want an elliptical with a cooling fan, incline, and more workout programs, definitely go with the Schwinn 430, but if you want a very quiet machine with a smooth flywheel, then perhaps the NordicTrack E 7.0 Z may be the wise choice.
