Some fitness bands won't track movement when you are holding on to handlebars. It may help to swing your arms freely by your side while walking.

No, this device is meant to clip on your waistband or shirt. There is a safety strap you can buy for it in case it falls, but it's not a wristband.

I need one I can wear while swimming
Related: Polar M200, Fitbit Charge 2, Fitness Trackers | Submitted by Nancy 297 days ago
A:

Out of the 2 fitness trackers you listed , the Polar M200 would be the ideal choice because the Fitbit Charge 2 is only water resistant (splash proof). The Polar M200 can be submerged up to 30 meters.

I have personally used the Withings Activité Steel (now called Nokia Steel), which in addition to being fully waterproof, automatically detects lengths while swimming. It also has a more stylish design than other trackers, in my opinion.

Related: Lintelek Tracker Watch, Fitness Trackers | Submitted by anonymous 302 days ago

Make certain you have downloaded the appropriate app to link the device to your phone and make sure the device is fully charged before trying to sync. the first time. If the problem persists, you may want to contact the manufacturer directly.

need to set time and date, how do I do it please?
Related: Letscom Fitness Band, Willful Non-Bluetooth Bracelet, Fitness Trackers | Submitted by Carlos 313 days ago
A:

The time you have on the letscom should change automatically with your phone after your tracker is paired with your LETSFIT app. It should automatically choose your correct timezone once you pair it. This also applies if you want to change the time format from 12-hour time to military time, change your phone time to the desired format, then synchronize.

what is the difference besides price and a brand name ?
Related: Fitbit Flex 2, MoreFit Slim Touch, Fitness Trackers | Submitted by Ming Chow Li 317 days ago
A:

The Fitbit Flex 2 has a sleek design, is splash proof (cannot be submerged or worn in the shower), and has a long lasting battery life. It’s a great choice if you want something straight forward, and simplistic. It’s also a good if you’re looking for simplistic and functional - the fitbit app is one of the best on the market.

With the MoreFit Slim Touch, you’ll find it has 14 training modes, and a nice bright LED display. With this fitness tracker it’s easy to check data on the app, automatically track heart rate, steps, distance, calories burned, and sleeping. It's an excellent budget option if you're looking for an alternative to the fitbit brand.

How do you power the unit on....???
Related: Fitness Trackers | Submitted by James 325 days ago
A:

It depends on which model you have. Do you have any model in particular in mind?

Many fitness trackers turn off and on like this: put your fitness tracker in the charging cable and plug it in. Hold the button for 10-12 seconds. To turn your tracker back on, press and hold the button for a few seconds. Make certain that your fitness tracker (whichever model it may be) is fully charged before you start wearing it right out of the box.

I want a fitness tracker for swimming to track lengths, calories burnt and duration. which also has a watch.
Related: Leshp Activity Watch, Fitness Trackers | Submitted by anonymous 344 days ago
A:

I have had a pretty good experience so far with the Withings Steel (now called Nokia Steel). This device is waterproof (I've gotten worn it shower several times) and tracks sleep, steps, as well as tracking specific activities (such as running, swimming, etc). I haven't tried it swimming yet but the website says that it can track lengths and duration of your swim. It also looks like a very stylish analog watch face rather than a brightly colored rubber band, which is a bonus for me.

Is the Fitness Tracker,Monejoy Activity Tracker the same tracker as the Coffea H7-HR?
Related: Coffea H7-HR, Fitness Trackers | Submitted by Wayne 348 days ago
A:

Looking at both of them on amazon it would seem they are one and the same, with different model names. They both have a 65 mAh battery, 0.96 inch OLED touchscreen, and a working time of 7 days. They have an identical design in terms of looks, and are both IP67 water resistant. The only difference I did notice is the shipping weight is 5.6 ounces on the monejoy activity, while the h7-hr has 7.2 ounces of shipping weight. It's difficult to be certain whether or not that implies the monejoy is a lighter design, but it should be noted that on the bottom of the page on amazon for the monejoy is says directly under product description  “2017 new design,Small Size, light weight, Powerful Function!”. So, maybe the monejoy is just the updated version of the h7-hr.

track calories
Related: Polar M400, Polar FT60, Fitness Trackers | Submitted by John 413 days ago
A:

Both the Polar M400, and Polar FT60 have the ability to track calories, as do most fitness trackers for that matter, so either one would fit that requirement decently. It would help to know what sort of other features you would be interested in to make a wise choice. They both have a few differences, such as the Polar M400 having automatic sleep tracking, and the Polar FT60 having a longer battery life.

Trying to decide which one to buy. Main reason to want one, is to track my sleep and heart rate.
Which one is better - Fitbit flex2 or Fitness tracker by Lintelek
Related: Lintelek Wristband, Fitbit Charge 2, Fitness Trackers | Submitted by Lisa 421 days ago
A:

They both have the ability to track your sleep and heart rate. The Lintelek Wristband has an automatic heartrate monitor, and can also track sleep quality. It also features SMS/SNS notification alerts and incoming calls. This fitness tracker is IP6/7 water resistant (meaning that it can be immersed in shallow water for a short time), and has a fashionable slim design so it doesn't stand out if you wore it to an office.

The Fitbit Flex 2 is water resistant, can track very basic fitness data, and supports a variety of accessories, but does not meet your needs in terms of being able to track heart rate.

I also noticed you listed the Fitbit Charge 2 on your related section. This device also meets your sleep and heart rate monitoring requirement, and features a fairly large screen, a comfortable strap, multi-sport tracking, and several strap options to choose from. A downside is that it has no gps, and is not waterproof. Plus, it is far more expensive than other fitness trackers (about 4 times more expensive than the Lintelek model).

if I get a fitness watch that says it's compatible with a smart phone, do I have to actually sync the watch with a phone app??? will the watch track steps, distance, calories and heart rate without the app?? what is the app for--making tracking charts?
Related: 007plus T5, Fitness Trackers | Submitted by anonymous 438 days ago
A:

You can go on a run and track your steps without the phone app, but if you wan to track your run via GPS then you will need your phone.

Generally with fitness trackers, the apps are the final link in the chain, presenting your data in a user-friendly format after being refined accordingly. The app report the statistics and trends and works collaboratively with your tracker. The app is a vital part of the equation in terms of seeing your health; it lets you see the long term data and improvement towards your fitness goals. Some fitness trackers sync manually with the app (ie. you'll have to open it on your phone every day to sync) and some sync automatically (usually via bluetooth).

If you don't want to use an app frequently, go for a fitness tracker with a built-in display that shows the time and step count on the screen. However, without using the app, you're really missing out on 80% of the data that the tracker is collecting.

Related: Ronten R2 Smart Bracelet, Fitness Trackers | Submitted by anonymous 476 days ago

It should be bright enough when outdoors. Make certain it's fully charged. If it is, try looking through the app. A lot of times the customization for fitness trackers are accessed from your phone. Otherwise I would refer to the user manual.

what is the main difference between the charge 2 and the surge
Related: Fitbit Surge, Fitbit Charge 2, Fitness Trackers | Submitted by anonymous 484 days ago
A:

There are a few differences between both. The Fitbit Surge weighs more than the Fitbit Charge 2 (2.7oz vs. 1.2oz), it has a GPS, and the Fitbit Surge has a longer lasting battery (7 days Vs. 5 days). The Fitbit Charge 2 has more detection modes , which are: walking, running, stair climbing, and weight lifting, while the Fitbit Surge only features: walking, and running. The Fitbit Charge 2 features no GPS.

User Avatar
Witch one is better Fitbit Alta vs more fit slim
Related: Fitbit Alta, MoreFit Slim HR Bracelet, Fitness Trackers | Submitted by anonymous 495 days ago
A:

That depends on what sort of features you’re looking to get out of your fitness tracker. The Fitbit Alta Tracker is dominated by an OLED display which can be configured in several formats. It tracks steps, distance, calories burned, and active minutes. It can sync data automatically through the Fitbit app (which is well known to be very reliable and user-friendly), and offers a vibrating silent alarm. On the downside has relatively simplistic fitness features (no heart rate monitor, no GPS, not swimproof).

The MoreFit Slim HR Bracelet makes it easy to check data on app, automatically tracks heart rate, steps, distance, calories burned, sleep, and has interchangeable replacement bands. Its water resistant, has a touchscreen, and will notify you of SMS messages and other notifications from your smart phone. It's also very cheap. Its down side is that its screen is not very bright for outdoors and the VeryFit Pro app that it syncs with is relatively unknown (and thus will not sync with other applications like MyFitnessPal).

I purchased this Fitbit from Amazon and only had it for less than two months before it fell off my arm and I lost it. I love my Fitbit. I was told that you would replace it. Is this true?
Related: Fitbit Alta, Fitness Trackers | Submitted by anonymous 495 days ago
A:
Fitbit has the reputation of having excellent customer service, I'm sure that if you have proof or your purchase they would be able to replace it for you. You'd have to get in contact with someone on the Fitbit website though - this is just a review site.
A:

If you have proof of your purchase there is a good chance the customer support team will try and accommodate you (whether it's a full on replacement, or some other form of assistance over your loss) . Try calling them directly, and speaking to a representative, or try visiting their website (http://help.fitbit.com/?cu=1) for more assistance.

Related: Polar A360, Fitbit Blaze, Fitness Trackers | Submitted by anonymous 499 days ago

I have a Fitbit Alta and I need a new clasp, how can I tell if I have a Fitbit alta or a Fitbit Alta Tracker?
Related: Fitbit Alta, Fitness Trackers | Submitted by anonymous 507 days ago
A:

Could you please clarify your question. Do you mean Fitbit Alta HR, and Fitbit Alta Tracker? Fitbit alta can pertain to any of the Fitbit Alta models. If it's a Fitbit Alta Fitness Tracker the clasps will come labeled for that model, and same if it's the HR model.

I am looking for a waterproof fitness tracker...
Related: Fitness Trackers | Submitted by anonymous 562 days ago
A:
Depending on what features you are looking for, Garmin, Withings, Polar and Misfit all make waterproof fitness trackers. I think the new Fitbit Flex is also supposed to be waterproof but I don't know much about it.
For reference, I did a lot of research before settling on the Garmin Vivofit 2. I used this fitness tracker in the pool without any issues, but I didn't like that I had to manually sync it with the app to see my data so I didn't replace it when the band broke.

Hi there, the Fitbit Flex does not include heart rate tracking. If you want heart rate tracking included with the wristband it's usually a little bit more expensive.

Here is an article comparing two heart rate tracking models:

https://reviewfinder.com/blog/fitbit-charge-hr-vs-polar-a360-differences-reviews-pros-and-cons-compared

You can also get some chest strap heart rate monitors (Polar has one) that can sync with a wristband, but it comes separately.
