Neither Anet A8 nor MakerBot Replicator 2 were recommended by experts this month
On 2 Apr 2024 (24 days ago) we went through 93 3D Printer expert endorsements , however neither Anet A8 nor MakerBot Replicator 2 were included in any of those recommendations. Since neither 3D Printer received a single endorsement, as far as expert recommendations go, it's technically a tie. We do, however, recommend taking a look at Bambu Lab P1S or other critically acclaimed 3D Printers of this month.
For reference, Bambu Lab P1S received 3 endorsements this month, from Tom's Hardware (21 Mar 2024), All3DP (14 Mar 2024) and CNET (10 Mar 2024).

MakerBot Replicator 2 is a well-known option at the top of the price range. It's in the top 3 bestselling 3D printers and has a couple of popular alternatives in the same price range, such as ZMorph Fab .
MakerBot Replicator 2 is $1751 more expensive than the average 3D printer ($449).
