It doesn’t feature the latest technology but it has more than enough to get the job done for the mid to high handicap golfer. If you are playing with something with limited forgiveness and distance this is worth the upgrade.

The new TaylorMade M2 is really easy to generate club speed with, it feels very lively and friendly, as if you don’t have to be on top of your game to get the best out of it, which for most amateurs is a nice place to be.

Come in at only a few hundred dollars, the M2 is very affordable, and with such a large sweet spot it forgives enough for even the newest golfers. Plus, because of the adjustability of the club, you’re not going to grow out of it too quickly which ensures that you can play with it for years to come.

Though the 2017 M2 driver won’t win an Olympic medal, it has already won the Masters in the hands of Sergio Garcia. The TaylorMade M2 is a straightforward driver that stands up to all of the top players in the game. Between the 2017 M1 and M2, TaylorMade has undoubtedly delivered their strongest driver lineup to date.

Overall, if you’re in the market for a premium driver but don’t want to spend a fortune, I’d definitely consider the Taylormade M2. For a slower swing speed like myself, it gave me the distance I was looking for but was still fairly forgiving on off-center hits (this would be a huge plus for most). That’s why I give it a thumbs up and recommend it.

Personally, it’s recommended you choose a higher loft by default to make launching the golf ball higher, easier. Most female players lose distance because they struggle to get lift on the golf ball.
