Neither Samsung HW-Q800A nor Sony HT-G700 were recommended by experts this month
On 13 Nov 2024 (1 month ago) we went through 92 Sound Bar expert endorsements , however neither Samsung HW-Q800A nor Sony HT-G700 were included in any of those recommendations. Since neither Sound Bar received a single endorsement, as far as expert recommendations go, it's technically a tie. We do, however, recommend taking a look at Sonos Beam Gen 2 or other critically acclaimed Sound Bars of this month.
For reference, Sonos Beam Gen 2 received 8 endorsements this month, from Rtings.com (21 Oct 2024), TechRadar (30 Oct 2024) PCMag (3 Oct 2024) and 5 others.

- Lacks "true" Dolby Atmos playback and physical height effects.
- Costs $100 more than the Vizio SB36512-F6 bar, which offers more features.
- Sound can be a little hemmed in and boxy at times.
