🎵 Superior sound quality with stereo tweeters and portable design.
...on the sound side this speaker takes a lot of ideas from the Sonos era 100 and makes them bigger and better of course in a portable package... Watch in video
🔋 Long battery life with versatile charging options.
...the Sonos move 2 is rated for 24 hours of playback and... you can also charge this speaker with a USBC cable to its USBC in Port... Watch in video
💧 Dust and water resistant, suitable for various environments.
...it works with Sonos voice assistant and Alexa if you're into that and it's also dust and water resistant... Watch in video
🔄 Easy setup process and intuitive app control.
...speaking of setup it's pretty easy you just plug in the dock and then put the speaker on the dock, press the power button and then open the Sonos app on your phone... Watch in video
📶 Enhanced connectivity with Wi-Fi 6 support for extended range.
...if you're taking this let's say out in the backyard or further away from your wireless router, you should have some additional range with Wi-Fi 6 support... Watch in video
🎚️ New signature touch controls for convenient operation.
...on the hardware side Sonos added their new signature touch controls to the top of this speaker which makes the sort of volume slider a little bit indented and then otherwise capacitive buttons for play pause next previous track and enabling or disabling the Sonos Voice Assistant... 🔌 The speaker can charge your iPhone with its massive battery.
...and yes I bet you're wondering you can use the massive battery inside to charge your iPhone either with USBC or lightning... Watch in video
🤔 🧳 Not travel-friendly for flying due to its size and weight.
...the first is that it's not a great speaker if you want to fly with it it's just not built for that it's kind of heavy it's big and bulky which is great for a big sound but you could fit it in your carry-on of course but it's just going to take up a lot of room and also with the big built-in lithium-ion battery it's not good to check this in your luggage... 🤔 🔄 White model attracts noticeable dirt.
...another downside of the Sonos move 2 is if you get the white model in my experience the base of it is a very grippy rubber which is a nice design for carrying but then it can attract a lot of dirt and it really shows on the white color and the rest of the speaker is this smooth plastic where you could just brush off the dirt but the base feels a lot more like an apple silicone case for their iPhones if you use one of those and so you can't really brush the dirt or lint or whatever away you need some kind of a damp cloth or something to get it off... 🤔 🔘 Low-contrast buttons difficult to see.
...the last thing I really don't like about this speaker is that the buttons are just not that much contrast to the actual color of the speaker which makes it kind of hard to see especially outdoors I would have rather seen much more pronounced button labels on this speaker it seems fine on some of sonos's more indoor speakers but kind of thinking this as more an outdoor extreme speaker it should have like Apple watch Ultra style orange labels or just something way more pronounced on the button so they're easy to see and find when you're sort of looking at a weird angle or from a distance...
