I am trying to create a small PA primarily for vocals. My 10 year old son plays acoustic and electric guitar and sings, and for gigs has been using a small guitar amp for vox but the sound/clarity suffers. I am considering a Mackie 402VLZ as the mixer and running two KRK Rokit studio monitors as the speakers. (I know they are studio monitors, but until he makes enough money I can't buy PA speakers). Will this configuration work? Will it be better than the small guitar amp (Squire Champ 15). Other suggestions? Thank you.
